A Bit About Me

My name is Louis Martin, also known as Shun (顺, my given Chinese name), I was born and grew up in Jakarta. From a young age, I’ve always loved creating—whether it was building with LEGO, experimenting with arts and crafts, or even dismantling things to understand how they work. My fascination with technology and innovation initially led me to pursue engineering, where I enjoyed the hands-on aspect of designing and conceptualizing new ideas.

However, after two years in engineering, I realized it wasn’t the right fit for me. I found the rules and rigid theories limiting, which reduced my creativity. Conversations with people in the design field opened my eyes to a path that allowed for more freedom and collaboration.

That’s when I decided to switch to Visual Communication Design, and it immediately felt like home. This field gives me the opportunity to bring my ideas to life, collaborate with like-minded individuals, and grow as part of a team. I’m passionate about turning concepts into impactful designs and look forward to creating meaningful work that resonates with others.

While Design is my primary focus, I also enjoy other creative pursuits, such as listening to and creating music, drawing, and gaming with friends. When I’m not working or exploring artistic activities, I enjoy relaxing at home or developing personal projects—often while grooving to music, which keeps me inspired and energized.
